Lately I have been selecting class horses that are in-form and seem to be standouts in the races based on this criteria. I do not look at odds at all so I'm not swayed by these at all. Usually average 12 selections across Australian and New Zealand meetings a day.
To date it has produced average win percentage of around 29% at around a average price of $3.30 which has been good in itself but it has also been producing some great price place dividends at around a 57% strike rate at around a average price of $1.69 (almost like backing favorites just getting some better odds).
So where my place staking plan had been lacking in the past (poor place dividends) it's not here.
I have used a hypothetical bank and treated each day as a new day. Based on $100 unit bets, I would stop when producing $180 of profit for the day (that would be my pay for the day a provide me with a healthy pay rise on my current income) and any extra produced by the last bet would go back into the bank. There is also a $1000 dollar loss is the limit for the day also.
Although it is producing a steady "hypothetical" income, I need to workout home to maintain my bank better to carry losing days.
